Topic: advice/suggestions for setting up

Hello - I've finally got my self together to have something ready to post!

I've been on the journey from tables to divs and am definitely not looking back! However, when it comes to building a site with some strange alignment and positioning, It becomes a tedious task to be true to my design concepts so I can't help but think of how 'instantly' easy tables were (I realize that I will never ever go back, but the css learning curve can be a sharp one).

Here's my design with my guessing where the divs would be set up

My plan:
1.the left and centre divs would have a bkg image where the top-right and bottom-right would just have set bkg-colour
2.set background colour= black
3.have the vertical text (ie: melissa hubert, click, etc) as images

Is this realistic and will the design work? The idea is that there is an M and an H that blends with black background.
How should I position the 2 divs + top/bottm right divs so it will always be looking like an MH?
Would I set up the navigation as if it was any regular horizontal nav bar?

I appreciate the help/ suggestions! CSS is a tricky one to learn without a teacher.

meloizabeth - Yup, you're right on track and your approach would work just fine.

Also, your navigation would be setup just like any regular horizontal nav bar, yes.
